Meet Information: Meet Recommended Clothing/Gear: * Team Shirt (optional) About Meets:
Please see the meet schedule for dates and times. It is your responsibility to arrive on time for the warm ups that are held before the meet. The coach will tell you when to arrive and what events you will swim. It is also important that you stay until the end of the meet. It is very difficult to swim the last relay events when swimmers are missing because they have gone home early. Rain dates will usually be the next day. Generally, there will not be practice on the morning following a meet. The Tuesday and Thursday evening stroke clinic will be held on these days as scheduled even if the morning practice was not held.
A Mock Meet will be held in June prior to the first swim meet. This will give the new swimmers a chance to see what it is like to be in a swim meet and also give all of the adult volunteers a chance to practice their jobs. Vacation Time:
It is very important that you notify the Coach of your vacation schedule; so that she can plan the swim meets accordingly. Please sign the vacation board and send an email to the coach to notify her when swimmers will not be available for a meet. This should be done at least a week prior, of a meet so that the coach can plan the meet. When swimmers do not show up for a meet to swim as scheduled, we lose chances to score and have empty lanes for the events most importantly, someone else is losing out on the chance to swim that empty event.
